Given that The Last Stand of the Wreckers by my mucker Nick Roche is out today from IDW (and tomorrow for us Brits) I had to tip the nod to it. Especially as I’ve been unimpressed with most of IDW’s Transformers output since the start of All Hail Megatron.
I recommend you pick it up if you like quality comics, and even if you don’t as it looks gorgeous. That being said I know the story will be up to scratch as Nick (no slouch as a writer himself) is being aided and abetted by James Roberts, who UK Transformers fans will know as the writer of Eugenesis – a fan novel set in the Marvel UK universe and still unsurpassed as king of Transformers prose.
As of typing I have managed to get the archives up for March-May 2009 and what’s been done for the last few weeks. I should hopefully get most of the rest of it done over the course of the weekend.
In other news the site had some love from my mucker and fellow Boho-Toss-Art comrade Nick Roche regarding my gag at the expense of his The Last Stand of the Wreckers issue 1. It’s quite honestly the best issue of Transformers IDW have put out in some time. It’s well worth checking out and you should visit Nick’s blog which he occasionally updates – but they are always worth the wait.
You’ll notice the site looks a little spartan just now. Thanks to some weapons-grade stupidity on my part when I was starting on the main site I managed to erase and overwrite all the files in the sub-directories including this humble comic. Thankfully I have most of the material backed up so it will just be a time consuming process re-uploading all the comics.
I’d planned on tweaking the site slightly anyway so now is as good a time as any.
