The second stab at BW: Animated _ Optimus Primal. Much happier with the legs this time out. Chucked some flat colours behind it to see how it looked.
My first stab at the bat version of Optimus Primal from Beast Wars in the Transformers Animated style. Why you may ask? Well Matt Marshall and I are hoping to put together a groovy wee zine for Auto Assembly entitled Beast Wars: Animated.
The lower legs are waaay to chunky and I shall fix that on my next attempt at him.
For no reason other than it popped into my head. A take off of the cover for Miracleman #1 by Garry Leach. Featuring another MM – Mighty Mouse
And here it is. The lineart for Escape Velocities.
Thunder Clash will have some part to play in G100 so I thought I’d give him a quick sketch.
Just a little behind the scenes for the first page. All the layouts were pencilled in non-photo blue and inked with a Rotring Artpen (M).
This is the first go at the layouts for what is Page 1, in reality a double page spread.
The slightly more polished (at least in terms of placing and panel sizes) second layouts.
Just a little something cooked up by Matt Marshall and myself. Copies of which should be available at a little Transformers event called Auto Assembly 2010.
I’ll leave you to work out what it is, but I am sure most folks can guess.
